Terms and disclaimer

Please read this before relying on anything FirmSonar shows you. Last updated .

What FirmSonar is

FirmSonar reads public filings from Companies House and presents them in plain English, with a link to each source filing. It is an information tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Companies House.

What FirmSonar is not

FirmSonar is not credit advice, a credit score, a credit reference agency, or financial, legal or professional advice. It does not state or predict that any company is insolvent, will fail, or is a bad company to deal with. It surfaces factual filings and lets you draw your own conclusions. The red, amber and green bands are a reading aid based on which filings are present, not a verdict about any company or its people.

Accuracy and the source

The underlying data comes from Companies House and is only as current and correct as the register itself. Filings can be delayed, amended or mis-filed. Always check the source filing linked next to every signal before you act. If you believe a result is wrong or out of date, contact us and we will review and correct it promptly.

Your responsibility

Any decision you make about trading with, extending credit to, or working with a company is yours. FirmSonar is one input, not a substitute for your own due diligence, professional advice, or a formal credit check. To the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for decisions made in reliance on the tool.

Fair use

The free tool is for legitimate business and personal use. Please do not scrape it, resell it, or use it to harass any company or individual.

Note: these are sensible plain-English terms for the free tool. Before charging or sending proactive alerts, have a solicitor review them alongside a correction and takedown process.
